Confirmed still happens on 2018-04-08 version.

Tested against latest release (1.7.3.1) under Win NT 3.51 Workstation (no service pack).
PMShell stops on a grey screen :

This is fixed on my end :
pmshell

I used Intel Premiere PCI, Pentium 60, 16 Mb RAM and Cirrus Logic 5434.
