This is a bug fix release, addressing some bugs reported and identified recently: multiple input devices handling, force feedback scaling, OpenGL 2 backend fixes.

The OS X build is built for 10.5 Leopard or higher but is only tested on 10.7 Lion and higher. 10.4 Tiger is no longer supported. The full release can be found at SourceForge, the download attached here contains no data. Instead you should use https://svn.code.sf.net/p/vdrift/code/tags/vdrift-data-2014-10-20 in a folder named "data" either in the same location as the application, or in "VDrift.app/Contents/Resources/" (right click on the application and select 'Show Package Contents).

To transfer settings, lap records, replays and screenshots from the last release (2012-07-22):

  • Open Finder
  • Select 'Go' in the menu bar
  • Hold Option (alt/⌥)
  • Select 'Library'
  • Copy the VDrift folder from Preferences to Application Support

This release supersedes 2014-09-26 (http://vdrift.net/Forum/showthread.php?tid=1839) which only ran on OS X 10.9 "Mavericks" and higher.

This release fixes a crash bug in joe loader. Additionally sound distance attenuation has been made less aggressive, and attenuation parameters can be tweaked from VDrift.config now.

The OS X build (vdrift-mac-2014-09-26.dmg) currently only runs on 10.9 Mavericks or higher - do not use if you are running an older version.

To transfer settings, lap records, replays and screenshots from the last release (2012-07-22):

  • Open Finder
  • Select 'Go' in the menu bar
  • Hold Option (alt/⌥)
  • Select 'Library'
  • Copy the VDrift folder from Preferences to Application Support

2014-09-22 (http://vdrift.net/Forum/showthread.php?tid=1835) was never released for OS X as it was quickly superseded by 2014-09-26 (http://vdrift.net/Forum/showthread.php?tid=1839) which only ran on OS X 10.9 "Mavericks" and higher and then 2014-10-20 which was a full release for OS X.
