After applying fix, I always come back to the main menu

Hi, I am on the latest 1.8.1 version of the fix/patch.

Unfortunately after applying it to my GOG version (41172), everytime I get back to this screen:

E.g. after clicking "New Game", "Options" or whatever else.

Before I applied the patch it worked.

Also one side note, I have followed your install instructions, but with my GOG version I did not have to "overwrite" MGS2SSetup.exe because it was not in the bin/ folder in the first place. Kind of weird or is this expected?

Well, is the main menu, I guess isn't so unexpected.

Maybe I was inprecise in my explanation.

I cannot start a new game, or enter the options, because every time I click on a menu entry, I get thrown back into the "start" screen.

So I literally cannot do anything since applying the V patch.

Is an xbox controller? What button are you using to confirm the menu choice?

I have already followed them exactly!

1. Created debug file
2. Opened setup
3. Entered settings and pressed save
4. Pressed "Start" to start game
5. Reproduced the issue inside the menu
6. Exited game
7. Send MGS2_VFix_debug.txt which spawned on desktop!

Keyboard! I am pressing the Enter key. I cannot make it work. Is this the wrong key?

But now I also tried my Xbox one controller, and it worked!

So Xbox controller is working but keyboard seem broken or am I doing something wrong?

Enter corresponds to Select/Back (codec) which is one of the cancel keys on PC.
