Description

After Confirming the game, I am unable to join game I joins but in the hero selection area I never see heros and it takes me back to the home screen with a time panalty. it happened First time after the update, I have i5 PC with 8 GB RAM and 512GB SSD with 128bit Graphic card of Radeon.

Example Match ID (and possibly Timestamp)

xxxxx : since 5 hours before creating issue

I have the same #17897. I thought that these were my problems and had already bought additional RAM (it didn't help). Thanks to Calve.

guys i found fix just put api vulkan

попробуйте- только эти параметры запуска
-novid -high -vulkan -prrwarn -map dota
и ещё установить vulkan support в дополнительном контенте

same problem. i only played 2 match with more than 5 times of this problem occuring after act 2. and even in game it was laggy sometimes.

got 2 hour matchmaking penality. i fear i might get lp or week long penalty.

Is any solution for this found yet ? This crowfall update is worst, not able to play for more than 2 days now...

Same problem 3 games 6 failed also all 3 of these games I have been able to connect it has had 2-3 return to MM as someone else has failed to connect.

I also have this problem on any server I try to find matches on! After update 7.36 I was only able to play one game, always disconnecting during the heroes phase! Now I have two hours to wait. I've tried different ways and nothing.

This also happens to me, so I started gathering data.

  1. This occurs when queueing online game, such as Turbo, Co-op Bot, or even Custom Lobby. Local games not affected.
  2. In Co-op Bot Mode timeout happens, but at least it won't give penalty time. No timeout in solo Bot.
  3. In Custom Lobby, starting a single-person lobby using valve server (Singapore) results in timeout. Not happening in local host server.
  4. Tested with friends on Co-op Bot Mode. Actual time for me to connect to game is around 30-40 seconds, which is way beyond timeout.

I observed the console, and will put relevant data here.

Still seeing this as well as of 04:00 PM ET today.

Some people mentioned updating GPU drivers; That seems to have resolved it entirely for me.

If you have an NVidia card, going to driver version 555.85 (latest as of making this post) fixes the problem

Valve, if you are watching, please escalate this. This is nothing short of a showstoppper. Seriously, ban after ban with just 20/30% successful games. IF you cant fix it quick at least increase the matchmaking timeout.

guys try using the - map dota launch options it worked for me i get into hero selection just before it ends up disconnecting like less than 5 secs but its consistent and i havents got disconnected since using it

i've been using these
-novid -high -vulkan -prrwarn -map dota
then create lobby with nearest server and still i've failed to enter match most of the time like i only suceed about 20-30% time. when i joined my ping is fine no packet loss. any other idea for how to fix it?

I'm having a 80% success rate by doing the following:

  • Selecting Learn -> Items on Main GUI and not changing it (it doesn't have any fancy shader on it, other options might work as well)
  • Play Dota -> Custom Lobbies -> Local Server
  • Play Dota Ranked.

It's not 100% though.

Я обновил материнскую плату и проц, кратно более мощные ,поставил win10. Более-менее успешно.
Но и на новой конвигурации ПК у меня воспроизелось такое:

получается частично пофикшено
Стим ужасно работает на win7 с vxkex, но возможно скриншот выше будет полезен. Сообщите, если у кого-то это всё ещё успешно работает
Экран выбора героя иногда ведёт страно, увы, скриншота нету. Думаю с процедурой подключения к матчу проблем довольно много.

its not one problem. It is still not completely fixed, but most likely it has ceased to be a fatal problem in 99.9% of configurations.

Would it make sense to create new ticket to increase the connection timeout by 20 sec?

Have the same problem. Haven't played in a month. FYI the lobby route works even in D3D11/DX11. Just create the lobby with a real server, populate with bots, start game then leave and go on to search a matchmaking game like usual. Just played co-op bots though. Have lost the drive to grind Crownfall.

Windows 11 user here on a NVIDIA Gefore MX150 laptop with an Intel Core i5-8250U, 8GB RAM and an SSD. This definitely is a post 7.36 bug for me.

I tried the lobby route yesterday for 2 straight hours. Had a 90% failure rate. Only 3/4 connections worked. About 2/3 weeks ago the hack that worked for me like 50% of the time was to open Arcade -> Lobby list, let it settle for a few min. Queue for matchmaking, count to 10 slowly (make sure you are the last man accepting). Accept and if you were lucky it would connect at the last moment. This isnt working anymore either, since the past few updates.

Three days, not a single Turbo, ranked game that worked. I dont even find the drive to queue for a game anymore.
