I am also getting this issue.

I have added -novid -high -safe all as launch options, i have run a Windows update and ensured my graphics drivers are updated.

I have verified the local files as well no luck.

@dalemccutcheon the dota is still breaking down in the main menu, I check the steam every day in the hope of an update. Do you have a powerful computer or an old one?

My computer was running dota fine and has been for the last 18 months, I don't understand this issue and why it is happening..

@dalemccutcheon it's a shame that no one is dealing with this problem and we may not be able to play until the end of this event 😢

That is depressing, have you tried to set the -novid launch option within Steam?

@dalemccutcheon Hi,

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a crashing issue with Dota.

The Dota team automatically collects crash reports from affected users to better understand how widespread they are. When we update the game, the most widespread crashes are generally the first to get fixed.

Steam Support has a limited ability to assist with resolving these crashes, but there are few things you can do to help us better understand the issue. We might be able to point you in the right direction.

If possible, take a screenshot of any error messages you are seeing. Click here for help with creating screenshots.
If you are able to reproduce the crash, you can help us by providing steps to reproduce the issue.
Providing context about the crash can help us investigate the cause. Did anything change on your system? Is the crashing associated with any recent updates?
Are you able to test the issue on a different machine, or test the issue on the same machine with a different account? Both of these tests are valuable.
Please also check your Dota 2 directory for any recent dump (.dmp) or minidump (.mdmp) files. If any dumps exist, attach up to 2 of the most recent to your next reply.

Dumps (.mdmp or .dmp) should be in any of the following directories by default:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\game\bin\win64
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\dumps
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps[[username]][[game]]
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common[[game]]

I would also encourage you to follow all of the steps outlined in our Basic Troubleshooting FAQ. Although it may seem like a long article, these steps can resolve a number of common issues.
