[Linux] CS:GO crashes on "loading resources" when starting a new offline game #7
Comments
Same here. Interestingly enough, watching a comp. match through the game works perfectly. |
Hi, I've just reported the same bug (#8). Using |
leinardi: Yes it works now with LANG=C %command% |
The LANG=C workaround doesn't solve the problem for me. |
Works for me aswell with LANG=C. Valve mentioned that locale was always a bit of an issue with Linux and that people should have en_US.UTF-8. I have that, though. Default is de_DE.UTF-8. Distro is Arch Linux(x86_64) with Gnome 3.14. I did a GDB backtrace running the game without LANG=C and starting cs_italy with bots. The game received SIGSEGV during the loading screen. I hope it's at least somewhat useful even without the debuging symbols. EDIT: |
FWIW, LANG=C didn't work, but LC_ALL=C fixed all issues for me, and the game runs perfectly |
Should be fixed in last update. |
@davidw-valve Psst this one can be closed ;) |
Hello.
I can get in to the main menu and everything seems to be ok but when I try to start a new offline game with bots the game crashes. Also, sound doesn't work.
Doesn't matter if I use my dedicated nVidia card with Bumblebee or the integrated HD 4000.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Start a new offline game with bots (or the weapon course). The game should crash when it says "loading resources".
