This release is for marking a current state of the repository to be able to generate a DOI to be able to reference the VedaWeb 1.0 application repository. No code changes have been made since the last tag and/or release.

The repository will only receive minor updates/patches, as it holds the soon-to-be legacy codebase of VedaWeb. Current development of the software used for the upcoming collaborative VedaWeb platform (developed as part of the VedaWeb 2.0 project) is happening in its own repository: VedaWebProject/Tekst

Since the release of the "final" version at the end of the first VedaWeb project phase, a good handful of bugs have been fixed. This release contains all those fixes. By the way:

πŸ“’ Announcement πŸ“’

As part of the second phase of the VedaWeb project (VedaWeb 2.0), a whole new platform software is being built from scratch as the technical basis of the new VedaWeb - an advanced online research platform not only for the Rigveda, but also a selection of additional Old Indic texts. It will be the successor of the current VedaWeb platform and will feature collaborative functionality for the user base (a.k.a the research community) to participate and create own data layers, propose corrections and much, much more.

The new platform software is called Tekst and will be a more dynamic solution that can be reused to create other research platforms like the upcoming new VedaWeb. You are welcome to follow its development (see the link above) and/or visit our project website for information on our work in the VedaWeb research project.
