Projects & Prototypes

An under development full-stack application that allows users to create either a user or business account that allows the creation of listings for desired items that can be donated for free. This app was designed to allow charities, shelters and start-ups to create listings where people could donate typically unwanted house-hold items. This app uses React on the front-end with react-redux for state management. Using TailwindCSS and react-tostify on the frontend for interactivity. The application includes stripe and webhooks to handle payment information and gateways allowing great security and confidence for customer payments. It also uses the MVC pattern in node.js on the backend. This app includes a fully working search feature allowing users to search by keywords , locations and distances. It features a fully working password reset feature utilising the accounts email address. The application also utilises bcrypt and JSCookies for verification. This app is still under development, but for now this can be run locally, the instructions can be found in the readMe.

Link will be updated once the app is live!

An application deployed to render.com, using React & Redux toolkit on the frontend along with basic CSS for the styling. Uses Node, Express and MongoDB to create a REST API for the backend. This app is a mock interface designed around a support desk application, allowing users to create a ticket regarding issues with their apple products. The application has a note feasture, allowing users to enter notes that can be seen by staff emembers. It also allows the users to close tickets once they are satisfied.

This website was created for a local barbershop that did not currently have one. This is a work in progress but the styling and content is 95% of the way there. I approached the local barber and asked if he would be interested in having a website that would showcase his business with a sleek and modern design. This website was created from a basic template, where the whole website is built within media queries, with the site becoming responsive, dependant upon the size of the desktop (vw).

This was made using VS code, and Koala for the LESS compilation. The initial color scheme and pictures were chosen with the client, with regular updates on website progress along with requests for client input where required. No detailed design was put foward, so a sample of other sites were chosen prior to work beginning on the design of the site.

This was my first foray into React.js and it was as part of Traversy Medias React Front-To-Back 2022 React course. This app utilise useState, useContext, and reducer functions to search Github and display users information and repos. This project although simple did help expose me to alot of React's features and aided in becoming familiar with functional components and how React manipulates the DOM object. I did supplement these learnings by checking out the React docs, and other online resources to gain a deeper knowledge of React hooks and props. I am concious of becoming stuck in tutorial hell, so I have decided to recreate the Weather Hazard App utilising React.

A landing page created using customCSS and BootStrap, this is a landing page for my upcoming application relating to upcycling and re-using typical house hold waste. The current application is under development and uses React, Node.js, MongoDB, Mongoose and React-redux js toolkit. This application features Stripe Paymentsi ntegration with a focus on webhooks to manage subscriptions and payments. This is a CRUD application using a purpose built REST API and uses JWT for authorization.Scheudled for launch in late 2023, currently building a following through Twitter and Instagram.

This project utilised REACT.js to enable a user to create a CV within the browser. This can then be printed to PDF, and used for occupation applications. This project relies on the UseState hook, React's conditional rendering and prop functions. This enables the user to switch between a preview view and an edit view, with easy to use and clear UI design.

A website built using React, DaisyUI, Firebase & deployed with Vercel. This website allows users to create a profile, create either Sale or Rental listings, with CRUD functionality. This project also includes integration with Google Auth allowing users to sign-in with an existing Google account.
