I note in bad-url-examples you prefer to always pluralise a noun even when requesting a single instance.
I think this is mostly a hangover from the old Ruby on Rails era and is less useful in modern times.
An URL like GET /v1/employee/alice-smith just seems to be better English than GET /v1/employees/alice-smith and it also reinforces that you are returning a single object and not an array of results.
