Web 3.0 SEA Alliance announce Web 3.0 Hackathon to jumpstart innovation and ideation for the coming internet revolution

The Web 3.0 SEA Alliance, an initiative by Web3 Scholarship, ABGA, FBG Capital, Sanctor Capital and Spark Digital Capital, is calling all indie developers and teams to throw their hat in to the Web 3.0 Hackathon challenge.
Web 3.0 promises to be an evolutionary leap forward that the internet needs, democratizing ownership of personal data on one hand, increasing transparency of its usage by organizations on the other and yet also fortifying the protection of it.
Web 3.0 works by gathering a group of technology stacks, including blockchain infrastructure layer (P2P network stack, State Transition Machine), protocol layer (API services, data aggregation) and dApps (DeFi, GameFi, DAO, user interface).
On top of the profound implications of its underlying infrastructure that is blockchain, there are yet other experiential empowering transformations that Web 3.0 will usher in:
- Semantic web, where web technologies decode meaning and emotions for a richer internet experience
- Artificial intelligence, where thinking machines remove all the biases of human beings to give you unfiltered results
- Spatial web and 3D, where the lines between the physical and the digital worlds are blurred
- Ubiquity, where the Internet will leave its traditional abodes to be anywhere and everywhere
There are literally no boundaries on what’s possible at Web 3.0 hackathon.
These are all industry-transforming, and you have an opportunity to play a part in it – to accelerate the changes that are coming. Don’t let the future go by without you having your say on it.
Entry Eligibility: All indie developers and teams who are passionate about and willing to contribute to Web 3.0.
Developers can also bounce off their ideas and brainstorm further at the Web 3.0 Hackathon Discord portal.
We encourage new projects and tools in Web 3.0 related spaces, including DeFi, gaming, web 3.0 tools & protocols, NFT and DAO. The products submitted shall follow below guidance:
- Originality: Participants are strongly to encouraged to be original in their product designs. Plagiarism/breach of intellectual property is strictly prohibited.
- Revelance: Entries must be in line with the theme of the event; works that are unrelated to Web 3.0 will be eliminated.
- Completeness: Deadline for product submissions is 12pm, 24th March 2022 (GMT+8). All submitted work should include product descriptions, links to the open source code, team introductions, presentation materials and any other relevant documents.
Builders will have opportunities to attend talks, workshops and to meet and interact with mentors and top judges in the industry, with a view to potentially gaining funding from leading venture capitals and industry veterans.
There are no limitations on which blockchain to deploy for projects. The aim of Web 3.0 Hackathon is to unleash builders’ innovation. Do contact us if you have questions or need mentoring when building.
Web 3.0 SEA Alliance is a joint initiative of Web3 Scholarship, ABGA, FBG Capital, Sanctor Capital and Spark Digital Capital. The event aims to gather independent developers who are enthusiastic about Web 3.0, the decentralized, private, censorship-resistant internet that is coming our way. Web 3.0 Hackathon will be a platform to connect, communicate, inspire, and collaborate with each other, and to nurture cutting edge dApps, tools, protocols, and infrastructure for Web 3.0.
Web3 Scholarship is a funding platform jointly initiated by Huobi Incubator and a group of blockchain veterans, venture capitals, universities, and crypto platforms. It will be committed to funding builders in the Web 3.0 field and providing support in many aspects, i.e,. funds, incubator mentorship and token listing opportunities for early-stage projects.
ABGA is a non-profit, blockchain alliance, co-sponsored by leading institutions in the gaming industry. These institutions are optimistic about blockchain games, NFTs and Metaverse, and are taking the initiative to support ABGA related activities and investments.
FBG Capital, founded in 2016, is Asia's leading digital asset management and investment firm.
Sanctor Capital is a sanctuary where bright minds can find the support they need to maximize their impact on the industry. With a number of in-house initiatives like Sanctor Labs and Sanctor Turbo, founders can find the guidance they need across a number of different areas like product strategy, tokenomics, communication and partnerships.
Established in 2017, Spark Digital Capital is a New York based family office crypto fund with a remarkable tracking record in the industry.

The Ecological Bounty is given to a project that best applies below technology stacks during development. The winner of each track is selected by judges from the following sponsors.

We value innovativeness and creativity – you will get additional points if your product is different from others already in the market, presents a new solution to an existing problem, or a new idea in iterating web2 to web3.

We advocate the spirit of open source, so the github PR of your work is an important judging element.
Although this is an online hackathon, we still advocate the hacking spirit – projects created during the hackathon period will be awarded an added point.
