Run npm install
.
Install neo4j, enter the web interface and set a new password. It has been tested only with the docker version of neo4j downloaded from the Kitematic app.
Important: Make sure that the variables in the
.env
file are properly set, because the docker version of neo4j doesn't use the default ports.
Same for redis. Or just download the docker image from Kitematic.
Copy .env.example
to .env
and change the settings as needed.
Run npm run build
to transpile the code to javascript, run this before start
.
Run npm run debug
to start server in development mode with live reload.
Run npm test
to run the tests.
The test
folder remain top level as expected.

If you're concerned about compile time, the main watch task takes ~2s to refresh.

This project is fairly simple and all of our .ts files are under the src
folder.
All the different build steps are orchestrated via npm scripts. Npm scripts basically allow us to call (and chain) terminal commands via npm.
If you open package.json
, you will see a scripts
section with all the different scripts you can call.
To call a script, simply run npm run <script-name>
from the command line.
