Exporting blocked websites

Wesley Branton edited this page Feb 19, 2021 · 3 revisions

Exporting your list of blocked websites allows you to make a backup of your block list or transfer your block list to another device.

This process will export your block list to a JSON file that can be loaded into the add-on later. This process does not erase or modify your block list.

Exporting your data can be done using the add-on options. If you don't know how to open the add-on options, please refer to the Opening addon options page on this wiki.

In the add-on options, press the "Import/Export" button. Press the "Export" button. This will save your list of blocked websites to a file. Depending on your browser settings, you may be asked to chose where to save your file and what to call it. It's recommended that you keep the default file name.

If you are not asked where to save the file, it will be saved to your default download folder that you have selected in your Firefox settings.

To find out how to import your block list into the add-on or import your block list on another device, please refer to the Importing blocked websites page on this wiki.
