your server ip is probably blacklisted. use another server. if you are using a local machine at home, restart your internet modem to get a new residential ip.

I'm not sure if the phone with installed Whatsapp or the PC with baileys is causing this problem.

  1. Use the original WhatsApp and the latest version

  2. When you've just been banned by WhatsApp, don't use bots yet, wait 2-3 weeks

  3. reduce chat spam

I tried with 20 new numbers (not used before, no spam), as soon as I enter the device connect screen and scan the baileys QR code, whatsapp bans the number.

Has anyone been able to enter the system by scanning a QR for the last 1-2 days?

use WhatsApp for 2 weeks/1 month without becoming a bot, wait for it to be safe, then you can scan the bot

It has happened to me with whatsapp plus, so I suspect that it is the same case even using whatsapp web without baileys

I am facing same issue with my few numbers. Others are still working.

I have deployed it on a Godaddy VPS and multiple Whatsapp sessions in one intance.

same issue here. I have 34 connections on the same IP and in new connections I have got banned randomly in last 2 weeks. WhatsApp blacklist really exists?

I am currently facing this. The numbers are connected, they are not sending spam and a few minutes after being connected they are banned.

Yesterday I'm running the server on DC on Finland, with number from BR.
Today i start a new server, with new numbers, on BR DC, and the problem is the same.

Not yet, but it seems like the @ahmeaqas hypothesis makes sense.

@ahmeaqas in your suggestion, i need to run each account in one docker instance? Only start a new Baileys instance is not a good idea?

Thanks

when your number got banned after scan, is previously your whatsapp got banned (whether the same or different number)?

In the last two weeks i have tried at least 25 new numbers.

Generally the number is not banned immediately, but within a few minutes or even hours, even without shots being fired. Just a very few test messages exchanged between my numbers. No spam, no repeated messages, no reports.

i'm having the same issue but with another lib, lately a lot of numbers are being banned.

I had this problem yesterday, so I sent a message to support and they unbanned my number.
Then I saw that my whatsapp business was out of date, I updated and redid it and so far everything is fine.

Closing as this is not really the lib's fault, it's up to WhatsApp to decide how strict they are with their anti spam measures

Anyways, I would love to have all theses experiences and reports about Whatsapp anti spam measures shared in some place, preferably within some sort of reputation badges in a way that we can establish/assign some trust to the posters.

Wait I guess kinda like this discord channel: https://discord.gg/6rjTRMCapV

Hey guys, be careful if you're copying the multi-connection example code. I did it, and as soon as I connected Bailey started to spam messages to my own number. Maybe that's causing the ban.

To avoid that, just remove the sock.ev.on('messages.upsert', () => {}) section.

Yeah, but as soon as you implement the messages.upsert event listener again, it bans your number. You don't want to remove this, otherwise, you will not receive any messages.
