linkHelper

A Python3 Hexchat addon that displays locally the "nick", "html title" and "short URL" when a HTTP URL is posted in IRC channels.

Requirements

Hexchat Python3 plugin:

        sudo apt install hexchat-python3

Installation

1. Download the file to the Hexchat addons directory:

        wget -N https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Wibol/linkHelper/master/linkhelper.py -P ~/.config/hexchat/addons/
   

2. Adjust the configuration to your needs:

        nano ~/.config/hexchat/addons/linkhelper.py
   

3. Run "/LOAD linkhelper.py" in Hexchat or restart it.
