          Area within the larger image or area as a size restriction for individual floes? Also what units for the area? Based on the test I'm thinking it is in pixels. We should put the default translation for users. 300 px = x km^2

I think this is mentioned in the paper but I'm not sure what the correct format for this metadata should be. I think it depends on the resolution of the images provided by the source API. Maybe the fetchdata script captures this? @broarr do you have any recollection?
