I think that there are lots of files that are not the core of the project, like tons of Visual Studio files and some floppy requirements. We could have to make the source code clean and put them away or provide a dedicated link for the people that need it. For other users, we could compile it easily. I can also shrink the repo size.

The only problem is that the people may need some of the pre-compiled files, like binary or floppy disk, Could we store them at another repo?

Why the docs are ignored?
*.html, *.pdf, *.txt
I believe they are a part of the source code.

They are compiled with groff. It's not necessary.
