This won't prevent you from using them, but you should think about using smaller grid sizes instead.

There are a couple of reasons for this deprecation:

they are unintuitive for players (imagine remembering recipes that have 36 ingredients...).
resource intensive calculations cause a lot of lags, because it has to check up to 4x more ingredients per recipe (the more recipes you have, the worse it gets).
chest inventory size is too small, which makes the UI a bit crammed.

Of course, you can still use them and the feature won't be removed, but encourages you to find an alternative.
