Consider allowing the "View page/post" notifications to open in a new tab (by default or optionally with a toggle)

What problem does this address?

When editing a page/post in the editor and saving the page/post a notification appears bottom left to view the page or post. When clicked this opens the page in the current window, some users may prefer to keep the admin area open so they can continue working on the page after save (once they have viewed the updated page on the frontend). With how it is now you have to exit the admin area go to the page and then come back.

What is your proposed solution?

Consider whether that link should open in a new tab by default, or if not have a toggle to open it in a new tab and if this is selected remember the setting for next time (by storing it to user meta or similar)

There are at least 4 more places (links/buttons) where users can click to view their current post after a certain action (publishing/editing a post/page), as follows:

(Note that (1) also appears after editing a post, as originally described by @ninetyninew above).

Out of the above 4 places, only (4) (the post link in the Permalink section in the post sidebar) opens the post in a new tab when clicked.

I think, it would be good if all four links/buttons open the post in a new tab, or at least provide a toggle as described above. Still having the editor open after clicking the "View post" button is useful, for example, when want to quickly go back to the editor (with existing cursor position etc) after noticing an error in the live post.
