It should be easier to reset all appearance attributes (i.e. non role: content) for any block. I'd imagine this could exist in an ellipsis menu next to the block description in the inspector, or by clicking on the block icon in the inspector.

On text blocks this could include clearing inline formatting as well but preserving semantic tags. Related to #8869.
