This is an alpha version of the X-Cash Desktop Wallet, in the process of being tested and improved before its official release. This being so, the X-Cash Foundation does not give any warranties, whether express or implied, as to the suitability or usability of the wallet.

The X-Cash Foundation will not be liable for any loss, whether such loss is direct, indirect, special, or consequential, suffered by any party as a result of their use of the X-Cash Android wallet.

⚠️ You will encounter a lot of bugs and unreliable service. Please refrain from using this wallet for day-to-day operations or for storing or sending large amounts of XCASH. Use it to test or to contribute mostly. In any way, always securely save your mnemonic seed and/or private keys to backup your wallets in case of an unexpected error.

Should you encounter any bugs, glitches, lack of functionality, or other problems, please raise an issue after checking if any other duplicates issue isn't already signaled. You can also ask for support on the #desktop-wallet support channel on Discord.

The X-Cash Desktop Wallet is a brand new GUI to securely store, access, and vote with your XCASH.

How to install

If you have downloaded a previous version of the GUI wallet, make sure to delete xcash-official folder in your C:/Users/{username} folder on Windows or in your home folder on Linux or OSx.

Windows

  1. Download the corresponding .zip folder on this release for your OS.
  2. Unzip and extract the wallet folder in C:/.
  3. Exclude the folder in your antivirus analysis to avoid Windows mistakenly deleting the xcash-wallet-rpc.exe executable.
  4. Open the xcash-desktop-wallet.exe with Administrator Rights.
  5. Download the CLI wallet executables from GitHub (if you don't already have them). Extract it wherever, then open the folder and copy the xcash-rpc-wallet.exe. Paste the executable in the C:/Users/{username}/xcash-official folder.
  6. Restart the xcash-desktop-wallet.exe with Admin right, you can now start testing the wallet.

OSx

  1. Download the corresponding .zip folder on this release for your OS.
  2. Unzip and extract the wallet folder in /Applications.
  3. Open the xcash-desktop-wallet.exe. The program will automatically download the necessary binaries to make the wallet work.
  4. You can start testing the wallet!

Linux

  1. Download the corresponding .zip folder on this release for your OS.
  2. Unzip and extract the wallet folder in your /home folder.
  3. Open the xcash-desktop-wallet.exe with sudo rights.
  4. Download the CLI wallet executables from GitHub (if you don't already have them). Extract it wherever, then open the folder and copy the xcash-rpc-wallet executable. Paste it in the /home/xcash-official folder.
  5. Restart the xcash-desktop-wallet with sudo rights, you can now start testing the wallet.
