Problem

When trying to build QEMU on macOS, I get the following error:

[...]/qemu/hw/core/remote-port-proto.c:61:12: fatal error: 'byteswap.h' file not found

To Reproduce

  1. clone the repository
  2. run
    mkdir build
    cd build
    ../configure --target-list=arm-softmmu --enable-fdt --disable-xen
    make
    

Environment

  • OS: macOS 10.15.6
  • Darwin kernel version: 19.6.0
  • Compiler: Apple clang version 11.0.0
