Issue migrated from trac ticket # 368

component: server | priority: minor | resolution: worksforme

re: #363 - my monitor source was muted and so I didn't get any sound. xpra should help debug lack-of-sound, and maybe tell you that the source is muted or volume is very low.

eg:

pactl set-source-mute alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1b.0.analog-stereo.monitor 0

Does r3762 fix the problem for you? (untested)
If so, please close this ticket.

[[BR]]

Note that this only unmutes the source, this won't touch the volume which may be set too low. (but we will not touch that - it would start to get far too messy, far too quickly)

Also, as I mentioned before, your setup will forward all sound from the existing pa server to your client... are you sure this is what you want?
