Why you think the feature request is something we should consider for the Yoast SEO plugins?

It would be really helpful if we could set an HTML anchor or an ID for the individual How-to steps. Then we could refer to individual steps in the description or somewhere else and link them directly.

Have you ever thought about it?

As a workaround, you can switch in Gutenberg to "Code Editor" mode and manually add anchors to each FAQ/How-to header.
