rarefy Abundance and rare abundance

Hi
I am facing an issues,
When I try to ran
mpse2 %<>%
mp_rrarefy (.abundance=Abundance) %>%
mp_cal_rarecurve (.abundance=Rare Abundance, chunks=500) the code takes lot of times and does not complete, and it forces me to strop it.
Is this the normal, that this code takes time,
My file size are mpse is 2.1 mb with (2289 elements and 96 observations)
I tried to changes the chunks as well
Kindly suggest here
