Its not occurring unless I manually do it. When I refresh, the sorting is removed.

No its already sorted by date when you load it. Do you want to preserve whatever sorting you want after you refresh??

I can confirm that it preserves whatever sorting that I did even when refreshing.

It seems to be broken again since its not applied when I close the tab and open the site later on.
