Problem:
After installing ffmpegversion 20190331-27c94c5 moviepy couldn't export any audio

Solution:
Installed ffmpeg 4.1.1 Release Build and that got it working again

ffmpeg source

just a heads up for you guys even though it is more ffmpeg related
have a nice day :)

Same here with current media-video/ffmpeg-4.2 in gentoo. I guess other distros will pick that up or have done it already. Any fix in sight or debugging I could help with?
Of course, cudos for moviepy from me as well!

Just so I understand the problem, are you both configuring moviepy so it will use the machine's ffmpeg instead of the moviepy-imported ffmpeg?

I certainly won't have time to look into it (and other maintainers seem to be busy elsewhere too) but if you find a fix I'd merge a PR.

For gentoo, system ffmpeg is used. Nobody wants each user of ffmpeg to bundle it...
I just checked that pull request #968 fixes it! So it actually is a (very small) bug in moviepy. Note that pull request #919 is then obsolete as far as I can see.

Should be fixed in #968.
