URL Shortener Microservice

User stories:

• I can pass a URL as a parameter /new/https://www.google.com and I will receive a shortened URL in the JSON response.

• If I pass an invalid URL that doesn't follow the valid http://www.example.com format, the JSON response will contain an error instead.

• When I visit that shortened URL, it will redirect me to my original link.

Run

• Create a database on Mongo Atlas

• Set the MONGOLAB_URI environment variable

  MONGOLAB_URI=mongodb+srv://USERNAME:PASSSWORD@urlshortener.ehul9lb.mongodb.net/?retryWrites=true&w=majority&appName=urlshortener
  

• Install the dependencies

  npm install
  

• Start

  npm start
  

Deploy on Netlify

netlify init
netlify env:set MONGOLAB_URI YOUR_URI_HERE
netlify deploy
netlify deploy --prod
