Dash Cam Support

Welcome to the Dash Cam support:

Hi,

I wrote this app mainly to help individuals like me to use their iPhones as dash cam while on the move instead of spending a small fortune on additional hardware along with it's lengthy, messy wires and occasional battery drain issues.

Permissions:

• Camera, Microphone and GPS access are used only to record and store footage when app is running and during recording.

Usage:

• Record your journey (no limit - as long as there is enough memory in your iPhone).
• Microphone, front camera and GPS location can be turned off/on depending on your requirements (including during recording).
• Capture picture along with video.
• Location information is displayed on map along with GPS speed.
• During recording double tap on map to mark an incident.
• Recording along with location gets stored in your app immediately after clicking stop.
• Saved recordings can be accessed via media page. You can view, share and delete individual recordings.
• Select saved file format (MP4 [in case of non Apple products] or MOV [Apple products]).
• Select button location position (left or right).
• Timestamp saved with recording.
• Select GPS speed in MPH or KPH.
• Dark and light mode support.
• During recording if there is an interruption (like calls.) then app stops and saves recording.
• Select recording format (High Definition [HD] or Full High Definition [FHD]).
  • Note: Enabling FHD results in larger file sizes.
• Option to auto-start recording.
• Window sizes are fixed in this version.
• Button positions, microphone, GPS and front camera view settings along with file and recording format settings are retained for future use.
• If you have less than 2 GB of memory currently then at start app displays a warning pop-up to notify you about this.
