I removed many excess lines of code and replaced them with a
switchstatement. This has been tested although fairly little, so there needs to be a little more before I can merge this branch into master. Please try it out by following the guide on contributing to set up a development environment (make sure to use the development branch!) and test it out. Any help is appreciated and please let me know if you find any issues!
