Segmentation Fault when using "book save" or "book store" Commands

Problem Overview

I am encountering a segmentation fault when using the book save or book store commands in EDAX. The program crashes with the following error message:

zsh: segmentation fault /Users/my_username/Othello/edax/edax

Environment Information

• EDAX Version: 4.4
• Operating System: macOS 14.4.1 (23E224)
• Hardware: M3 MacBook Air 15-inch (16GB RAM)
• Build Information: I did not build EDAX myself. I am using the precompiled version from the release (edax-macosx.zip).

Steps to Reproduce

1. Load a book file with the book load command.
2. Attempt to save or store the book with the book save or book store commands.
3. The program crashes with the following error:
   zsh: segmentation fault /Users/my_username/Othello/edax/edax

Commands like book info that involve reading from the book file work correctly.

Additional Information

• I tested this with multiple book files of different sizes, and the same error occurs.
• I also tried running EDAX using Rosetta 2, but the same error occurs.
