This is Sauron Key for MVSX, ASP, and CRS (RetroArch)

Installation

  • You need to have a MVSX, ASP, or CRS with support for boot-usb.sh installed (e.g. hylo or 0xdead Beef system update launcher)
  • Uncompress the zip file and copy the contents to a USB.
  • Copy your roms to the corresponding roms folder (e.g. roms/neogeo)
  • Copy your bios files to the bios folder
  • Insert the USB on your USB and boot

Known issues

  • Integer scaling is not perfect, depends on the original game resolution it may work better or worse than non-integer scaling
  • Overlay notifications (e.g. FPS) are not properly positioned while using integer scaling
  • Sometimes audio will stop if you access the menu during a game. In those cases, just restart retroarch
  • There's no MVSX native volume control, but you can control volume with OPTIONS + 2P UP/DOWN.

Important paths:

  • USB is mounted as /userdata
  • HOME is /userdata/system
  • Cores are in /userdata/cores
  • video_filters are located in /usr/share/video_filters
  • audio_filters are located in /usr/share/audio_filters
