My system information:

  • Operating system type: Windows 10
  • Operating system version: Creators Update (April 11, 2017)
  • BLT version: 8.7.0

For reference:

We may be able to tighten up our docs for Windows users a bit, now that WSL can call out to vagrant.exe from the Ubuntu bash environment.

So far I've just focused on raw vagrant usage... but it might be possible to run all the blt commands within WSL (assuming you install composer and PHP) against a VM that's also managed from within the WSL.

It looks like it'll get even better! See: hashicorp/vagrant#8570 — basically, we can do 99% of the setup within WSL now... which also means we could potentially script things.

I'm not sure if I'll get time to be able to tackle this issue in the next few weeks at least. My poor Windows laptop hasn't even been opened since late June!

@grasmash - Yes; let's leave it open until after the session today; I have a feeling I'll have to reference it once or twice :)
