just tried this on Ubuntu 12.04 -- installs but cannot import -- not much background in C but happy to help debug with a few pointers |
Thanks! This library does require the 3.8 kernel. What kernel version is in your 12.04 install? |
forgot I was booting off emc vs sd card Ubuntu: 13.04 pre-compiled from http://rcn-ee.net/deb/rootfs/ Kernel: 3.8.8-bone14 I'll try testing again booting from ARM Ubuntu Server edition shortly |
We've added support for Ubuntu along with the original Angstrom support. At this point we'll focus on the core OS's that have images to flash directly to the eMMC. Pull requests are welcome. That being said, I can't see any reason this wouldn't work on Arch or Debian. Also, this latest release includes pip and easy_install installations. |

My current favorite is Ubuntu 13.04 but Arch and Debian come to mind too.
