'require' is undefined

Dear Adam,
Thank you for your tutorial. Unfortunately, I receive the the following error when starting the app:
"require" is undefined

I'd appreciate your help!

I haven't run this in a long time, but it seems likely based on this error that more recent es library versions have started using js modules, necessitating some sort of compilation step before you run it in a browser. I usually use webpack myself.
