This repository contains the data and code necessary to reproduce the analysis in the manuscript "Two seconds is all it takes: European starlings (Sturnus vulgaris) increase levels of circulating glucocorticoids after witnessing a brief raptor attack" by Jones et al. (2016, Hormones and Behavior 78:72-78).

To run the analysis:

  1. Fork this repository
  • all code and data is available in this repository
  1. Open R on a computer with internet access
  2. Install the devtools and knitr packages, if necessary
  • install.packages("devtools")
  • install.packages("knitr")
  1. Knit the file to produce an html document
  • knitr::knit2html('PATH/TO/Analysis_summary.Rmd')
  1. Open the resulting html file (Analysis_summary.html) in your favorite browser
  • we've included this file if you'd rather download it and open it directly
