Describe the bug

As the title suggests, this example has not been updated to flower 1.0.0. I will make a pull request with my proposed changes.

Steps/Code to Reproduce

sh ./run.sh

Expected Results

The code should run without errors.

Actual Results

Running the .sh script raises a number of problems.
