Describe the bug

It appears that 720p HD quality in live TV streams only works when InputStream Adaptive has Max. Resolution general decoder is set to 1080p or Max in its settings.

The default values is 720p, which should be fine, but fails to work.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to InputStream Adaptive settings
  2. Set Max. Resolution general decoder to 720p
  3. Ensure that everything else is configured correctly for 720p HD quality
  4. Try the Eén live TV stream, and verify it is only 540p

Expected behavior

720p

Additional context

  • Operating system: LibreELEC 9.0.1
  • Kodi version: 18.1
  • Addon version: InputStream Adaptive 2.3.17.1

We found and fixed the problem in xbmc/inputstream.adaptive#259, but it may take some time to trickle through a released version.

A fix was released as part of inputstream.adaptive v2.3.18, but my not be available on your platform (i.e. LibreELEC on ARM).

And just like that my LibreELEC on RPi3 received a new update of inputstream.adaptive bringing it to v2.3.22.1.
