Hi

Your menu selectors do not match with WordPress default menu.
Wordpress default menu has class name "menu-item-has-children" for parent (li) and class name "sub-menu" for child container (li > ul)

Right now, I'm using your menu extending default wordpress menu class which adds one large php code file in the theme directory.

Hope you will work on this.
