In #12734, we monkeypatched
Tern.Server'snormalizeFilenamemethod, as it would break some functionality on Linux and Mac otherwise.This issue is there to track any ideas for a better way to resolve the paths Tern sends us.
Many of the comments in #12734 are still relevant, especially those by @marijnh and @zaggino.
