Welcome to the Adventist Living Pattern System for Wordpress wiki!
The Theme Options are available under Appearance > Settings
To enable the news sidebar and other features associated with it, on the post edit/creation page, create a new category called News and select that for your news posts.
News items will show up in your sidebar.
