needs this for various Wordpress functionality
some options

side container like exim-sender? https://hub.docker.com/r/elsdoerfer/exim-sender/
inside the wordpress container mail() does not work out of the box docker-library/php#135 (comment)
via a wordpress plugin to use SMTP instead of the PHP mail()
- https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/ * seems preferred
- https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/
- https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smtp/
  perhaps provide a quick intro on setting this up with https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-set-up-the-gmail-mailer-in-wp-mail-smtp/
