How to get upgraded video controls

What do you recommend using in conjunction with xapkreader plugin to get upgraded video playback controls? I am using Cordova command line.

I would like a looping video option in the player. And it would be nice to also have concatenate videos play capability.

Doesn't Media Player do this kind of add-value video control function? It would be nice if the HTML links for media files could always be coded as though they were internal but xapkreader would redirect (e.g. Media Player) to get the file from external OBB if the file was not found on the internal. Is that possible for xapkreader to act as the middle man so that Media Player is agnostic to whether the media file is internal or ext OBB?
