RU-PITENS-database

This study was conducted in the AIS laboratory (Principal Investigator: Prof. Joo-Ho Lee (lee.aislab@gmail.com) of Ritsumeikan University. This database is open to the public under the authority of the first author (Dr. Miran Lee (miran@daegu.ac.kr)) or corresponding author (Prof. Joo-Ho Lee (lee.aislab@gmail.com)) of this study.

Abstract

RU-PITENS database (Pain expression facial images using transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) from Ritsumeikan University) contains frontal images of the faces of subjects, showing images indicating pain intensity caused by the TENS device. The experiment was approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Ritsumeikan University (BKC-2019-060).

How to access the database

To gain access to the RU-PITENS database, please complete and submit the following form "RU-PITENS_Agreement.docx".

Note that an academic affiliation is necessary because the database is only available to researchers from non-commercial institutions (hospitals, research institutes, colleges, or universities). Also note that only faculty members can be granted access to the database, so students and trainees (including post-docs) need a faculty member to submit a request on their behalf.
