Description:

what it is???
An useful vlc extension that allows you to find a meaning of a words displayed in a movie subtitle.

  1. That is either shown on the currently running subtitles
  2. or to search for your own word

The Meaning of the word you selected is retrieved from http://www.wiktionary.org/

USER MANUAL HERE:

INSTALLATION

  • put the ".lua" file in the VLC subdir /lua/extensions, by default:
  • Windows (all users): %ProgramFiles%\VideoLAN\VLC\lua\extensions\
  • Windows (current user): %APPDATA%\VLC\lua\extensions\
  • Linux (all users): /usr/share/vlc/lua/extensions/
  • Linux (current user): ~/.local/share/vlc/lua/extensions/
  • Mac OS X (all users): /Applications/VLC.app/Contents/MacOS/share/lua/extensions/
  • Mac OS X (current user): ~/Library/Application Support/org.videolan.vlc/lua/extensions (create directories if they don't exist) Restart the VLC.
