なるほど xml + css のテストですね。vivliostyleでは現在非サポートです
このXMLのテストは、
https://github.com/zopyx/print-css-rocks/blob/master/lessons/lesson-two-column-with-author-box/Makefile
このコマンドライン、たとえば prince の場合

prince: 
  prince -s styles.css  index.xml -o prince.pdf

のように、CSSの指定がないと、テストとして意味がないです。
