We should make it more clear that the Cluster Singleton and Cluster Sharding tools are aiming for consistency over availability, and how this makes keeping after the cluster state with graceful leaving and downing in the face of partitions important.

Thanks but I think this may be hard to contribute unless you roughly have a good feeling for what the change would be. Look for issues tagged with help wanted, those we have considered suitable for contributions from the community.
