What does Nirah mean?

In Sumerian religion, Nirah is the personal attendant, of Ištaran, the local god of the Sumerian city-state of Der. He was identified with snakes and may appear in the form of a snake on boundary stones. In the same way, this software is based on python (snake) and acts as a wrapper (boundary of the C++ code).
