Global shortcut to open Albert's cq UI?

I am looking for a keyboard shortcut to open the Albert input box and show the same CopyQ UI as when typing cq . This would enable quicker access to recently captured clipboard items. My current workaround is to map a shortcut to CopyQ directly, but I would prefer staying within Albert's UI.

If there is no existing way to do this, the first approach that comes to mind is mapping a global keyboard shortcut to something like

albert toggle --input "cq "

which would not only fulfill my CopyQ request, but also generically allow shortcuts to prepopulate other plugins. Does something like this sound like a good fit for a future Albert feature?

Try albert show cq . I am not sure though if the space will persist, because iirc the text is sent plain. Let me know.

The trailing space is lost. I tried the following

albert show cq 
albert show 'cq '
albert show "cq "

and only see cq in the prompt. Typing space after works, but ideally we can program a keyboard shortcut to autopopulate cq to immediately start filtering the cliboard history.

albert show "cq "
albert show 'cq '
