For files that begin with
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="gb2312"?>
the plugin gives the wrong message "ValueError: multi-byte encodings are not supported". This can be solved by replacing "gb2312" with "utf-8". Can this be solved automatically?

Can you attach a sample file please? Ideally as archive or something to keep original file encoding.
