To use the solution to translate a page, follow the steps below:
- Create a page (you can use any template).
- Populate the page with content e.g. Text, Web Parts such as People, Quick Links etc.
- Save and publish the page.
- Use the 'Translate' option at the top of the page to create a copy in your desired language e.g. French.
- You are then navigated to the draft French page.
- Navigate to the 'Site Pages' library and locate the folder for the language you have created a copy for e.g. ‘fr’ for French.
- Locate and highlight the page you wish to translate and use the 'Automate' button at the top and select the 'Translate Page' flow.
- Click 'Run flow'.
Optional steps (to view the process):
- Navigate to the 'Page Translation Processing' list and observe a list item has been created.
- Click on the link in the 'Flow Run URL' column. You will be taken to the run of the 'Translate Page Content' flow.
- Observe that the flow completes.
- Check that the status in the 'Page Translation Processing' list has been updated to 'Translated'.
- Navigate back to your page and observe that the content has been translated to your desired language (in our example – French) and that the page has been published.
