How to use the solution

To use the solution to translate a page, follow the steps below:

  1. Create a page (you can use any template).
  2. Populate the page with content e.g. Text, Web Parts such as People, Quick Links etc.
  3. Save and publish the page.
  4. Use the 'Translate' option at the top of the page to create a copy in your desired language e.g. French.
  5. You are then navigated to the draft French page.
  6. Navigate to the 'Site Pages' library and locate the folder for the language you have created a copy for e.g. ‘fr’ for French.
  7. Locate and highlight the page you wish to translate and use the 'Automate' button at the top and select the 'Translate Page' flow.
  8. Click 'Run flow'.

Optional steps (to view the process):

  1. Navigate to the 'Page Translation Processing' list and observe a list item has been created.
  2. Click on the link in the 'Flow Run URL' column. You will be taken to the run of the 'Translate Page Content' flow.
  3. Observe that the flow completes.
  4. Check that the status in the 'Page Translation Processing' list has been updated to 'Translated'.
  5. Navigate back to your page and observe that the content has been translated to your desired language (in our example – French) and that the page has been published.
